CHEMOTHERAPY BOX - NO SPILL


1) PPE Required:
  • Non-Sterile chemotherapy prep mat
  • HD Clean Wipes
  • 1 pair XT Nitrile powder free non-sterile exam gloves
2) Place a non-sterile chemotherapy prep mat on top of the hazardous medication cart
3) Wipe the inside and outside of the chemotherapy box with HD Clean Wipe 1 and allow it to remain on the surface for 30 seconds, then wipe with HD Clean Wipe 2 and allow it to remain on surface until dry.​
4) Place used wipes, chemotherapy prep mat, and gloves in chemotherapy trash can next to hazardous medication cart
5) ​Wash hands with soap and water
There should be 2 chemotherapy boxes on hazardous medication cart and 2 in the IV room
