CHEMOTHERAPY BOX - NO SPILL
1) PPE Required:
- Non-Sterile chemotherapy prep mat
- HD Clean Wipes
- 1 pair XT Nitrile powder free non-sterile exam gloves
2) Place a non-sterile chemotherapy prep mat on top of the hazardous medication cart
3) Wipe the inside and outside of the chemotherapy box with HD Clean Wipe 1 and allow it to remain on the surface for 30 seconds, then wipe with HD Clean Wipe 2 and allow it to remain on surface until dry.
4) Place used wipes, chemotherapy prep mat, and gloves in chemotherapy trash can next to hazardous medication cart
5) Wash hands with soap and water
There should be 2 chemotherapy boxes on hazardous medication cart and 2 in the IV room
