INSTRUCTIONS FOR FLOAT 1 PHARMACIST:
1) Don PPE:
  • 2 pairs XT nitrile gloves
  • Face mask
2) Remove tablets from MedCarousel
3) Print MILT labels.
4) Place chemotherapy mat on pharmacy counter.
5) Obtain designated pill cutter for your medication from compounding cabinet.
6) Split tablet and place in MILT packaging.
7) Remove outer gloves and then label with MILT label.
8) Place empty tablet packaging in an empty bag for checking.
9) Clean counter with HD clean wipes.
    Dispose all PPE and trash in chemo trash can in ante room. 
​    Place used pill cutter in an empty bag for storage in compounding cabinet.
10) Wash hands with soap and water.
11) Get 2nd check and have another pharmacist sign off in MILT.
​12) Dispose empty pill bottle in Black Hazardous Container.
